i lived for a while with Gillian, Andrew Simanovski and Ian Farr

in a large cottage in Birchgrove Road

with a rear balcony looking down on the harbour...

There are two things that i remember especially...

we had a billy goat who lived in the garden and

i used to take him for walks in the park

one night when i was tripping

i was bowing down to the full moon

when he galloped up behind me and butted me

sending me arse over tit into the flowerbed

and bringing me back down to earth with a thump !

in the house we had a music room

in which conversation was outlawed..

all communication to be musical...

it was in that room that i picked up a cello

that i had never played before

and discovered that if i let go

it it would play me...

some of the most amazing musical moments

in my life occured in that room

we had total synergy

the zeitgiest lived in us

we had a gestalt..

(the whole was greater than the sum of its parts)
